Usually, you associate some of the best deals of the year with Black Friday or Prime Day, but the tech deals leading up to Labor Day this year have been pretty significant. Not only are two of Amazon’s most popular Kindle e-readers on sale, but so is Google’s storied Pixel tablet.
Currently, at Best Buy and Amazon, you can score a Pixel Tablet for $250, saving you $150 off its regular price of $400, which is its lowest price ever. This deal is for the 128GB Pixel Tablet in its porcelain (white) colorway. This deal just includes the tablet, not the dock/speaker accessory.
If you’re looking for more storage space, the 256GB Pixel Tablet in porcelain and hazel is on sale at Best Buy for $330, saving you $170 off its regular price of $500.

The Google Pixel Tablet was released in 2023 and offers Gemini AI along with smart home integrations. Those make this a forward-looking tablet and offer flexibility in its use. Plus, it has a high resolution display that’s great to look at.
Why choose a Pixel Tablet?
It’s a dependable Android tablet, and a Pixel Tablet 2 isn’t expected anytime soon
At $250, choosing a Pixel Tablet is tempting, especially if you’re already in the Google ecosystem and own a Pixel phone. A main feature of the Pixel Tablet is its smooth integration with other Google Pixel devices. For example, Pixel Buds paired with your Pixel phone will automatically connect to the tablet, making it easy to listen to music and videos. Additionally, you can quickly copy and paste messages and photos between your Pixel phone and the Pixel Tablet, making it easier to move seamlessly between each device.
Looking at the specs of the Pixel Tablet, it features a stunning 11-inch display with a 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution, a Tensor G2 chipset, 8GB of RAM, and an 8-megapixel camera on both the front and back of the tablet. If you’re looking for a basic Android tablet for watching videos, browsing the web, and checking your email, the Pixel Tablet is perfect for that, and it’s currently cheaper than Apple’s entry-level iPad.
If you’re worried about buying the Pixel Tablet and Google suddenly releasing the Pixel Tablet 2, that’s unlikely to happen anytime soon.
Additionally, the Pixel Tablet supports Android 16, so you’ll be able to get the latest Android software update on day one of owning it. However, since the Pixel Tablet was released in 2023, it only has a year left of guaranteed Android software updates, as Google is committed to supporting it until June 2026. For security updates, however, Google has committed to updating it until 2028.
If you’re worried about buying the Pixel Tablet and Google suddenly releasing the Pixel Tablet 2, that’s unlikely to happen anytime soon. Last year, it was widely reported that Google had canceled development of the Pixel Tablet 2, with sources with knowledge of the situation at the time saying it was likely because Google was concerned about poor sales. Speaking with Bloomberg recently, Google executives confirmed it had “paused development on a tablet overhaul” until it can figure out a “meaningful future” for it.
Therefore, it appears that the current Pixel Tablet will remain Google’s sole tablet offering for the foreseeable future. And on sale for $250 for a limited time, it’s a bargain hard to pass up.
